My grandmother grew up in Rush County, KS. Their family homesteaded in McCracken, KS. When she was of age, she went to Dodge City to study nursing. She got married and had a daughter in 1917, my mother. Tragically, a year later, her husband died of the Spanish Flu. That was my grandfather.
Written for String Quartet.
